The white marble monument consists of two vertical parts. In the upper one - a crucifix, in the lower one - the figure of the Mother of God (on the left hand of Christ) and the apostle John (on the right). Christ on the cross - in a crown of thorns and a bandage on his hips, one end of which falls in assemblies (in different directions) to the base of the Cross. The head with long hair (which still does not touch the shoulders) is bent down and to the left. The sculptor managed to convey the tension of the muscles of the whole body. A clearly modeled chest is a special emphasis of physical suffering. The Mother of God and the apostle John in traditional long clothes (chiton) draped with many complex assemblies. The Virgin Mary sits on her knees, bowing her head facing the Crucifix. The apostle John, who is standing, has his left hand missing, his right hand is pressed to his chest, and his head is bowed. Between both figures and the Crucifix there is a ledge with a natural stone surface treatment that separates the Crucifix from the lower figures, so each part has its own space. This excludes the motive of direct mixing and strengthens the philosophical nature of the images and the monument as a whole. On the pedestal is the signature of the author, the French sculptor Aristide Croisy (2nd half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century).
