Kravchenko Mykhailo Stepanovych (1858, Velyki Sorochyntsi, Myrhorod rayon, Poltava gubernia - 21 April 1917, ibid.)
Famous kobzar Mykhailo Kravchenko from the village of Velyki Sorochyntsi. M. Kravchenko became blind at the age of fifteen. At the age of seventeen, he began studying with the Myrhorod kobzar Samiil Yashnyi. For almost nine months, he studied with Hrytsenko-Kholodnyi.
Mykhailo Stepanovych was acquainted with the ethnographer Opanas Slasten, who recorded Ukrainian dumas from him, and knew the writer Volodymyr Korolenko: "This kobza was found by Mykhailo Stepanovych Kravchenko, and refinished by the Zaikyn brothers, and it costs 10 karbovanets."
