Skoropadskyi Ivan Ilyich (1646, Uman - July 3, 1722, Gamalivka) - hetman of Left Bank Ukraine. On November 4, 1708, he was elected hetman. He was buried in the St. Harlampius monastery in the family crypt (where his wife and daughter are also buried) in the church of St. Harlampius. Tombstones of Hetman Skoropadskyi and his wife, made of white limestone, are embedded in the western wall of the church. Whitewashed baroque inscriptions have been preserved on them. Since 1961, the monastery has been transformed into a correctional institution of strict regime US-319/66. During this time, on the territory of the monastery and in the church of St. Kharlampia underwent significant reconstruction. The remains of the hetman, his wife and daughter were reburied from the crypt to the prison yard near the church. Reconstruction took place in 2010.
