During the Nazi occupation (22.09.1941-22.09.1943), the Nazis killed 8 villagers, deported 102 people to work in Germany, 30 of whom never returned home. 243 villagers died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. During the retreat, the Nazis burned and destroyed the school, which was rebuilt only in 1960. A memorial complex was built in the village to honor the memory of the victims.
