From March 23 to May 15, 1942, the village was a partisan base of S. Kovpak's unit, here the partisans replenished their supplies and strengthened their forces. Then the village was occupied by the Nazis. For helping the partisans in December 1942, the village was burned down by Nazi punishers, 123 villagers were shot. In 1980, a reinforced concrete stele was installed in the center of the village, on the front side of which there is a board with an inscription.
