The town of Druzhba (until 1962 - Khutir-Mykhailivskyi) is located on the border of three countries - Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. In 1954, on the occasion of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the reunification of Ukraine with Russia, a reinforced concrete copper-clad sculpture of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi was installed on a brick cemented pedestal, on the front side of which a marble board with inscription
