Here, on September 5, 1943, the young pioneer Yanin Kostya (1931 - 43) was blown up by an enemy mine. In order to save the lives of the Soviet tankers and military equipment, Kostyk ran out onto the road mined by the fascists to meet the Soviet tanks and blew himself up on a mine. For this feat, the young hero Yanin Kostya was posthumously awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 2nd degree. A concrete slab covered with iron with an inscription on its front side was installed.
