The Konotop partisan detachment "Death to Fascism" was formed from the activists of the district in September 1941. The commander of the detachment is V. Kochemazov, the commissar is F. Kanavets (later - P. Petrikei). Initially, the detachment consisted of 8 people and was engaged in reconnaissance of the German rear, distribution of leaflets and agitation among the population. On September 26, 1941, the unit joined S. Kovpak's unit with the rights of the Konotop group, which later grew into the Konotop partisan unit. In 1967, a memorial sign with 4 was installed at the base of the partisan detachment metal tubes with an inscription on the pedestal.
