The city of Krolevets was liberated from the German-Nazi invaders on September 1, 1943 by soldiers of the 23rd tank and 8th motorized rifle brigades of the 9th tank corps. In honor of the liberating soldiers, in 1982, a T-34 tank No. 301 was installed on a concrete pedestal covered with soil. A board with an inscription was fixed on the front side of the pedestal. There is a board with an inscription on a granite slab 50 m from the pedestal.
