During the temporary German-Nazi occupation (September 7, 1941 - September 2, 1943), the residents of the Zazirki Village Council (Zazirky, Kalashynivka, Novoselytsi villages) organized 5 underground
groups in the village Novoselitsa (S.Tsygykal), village Glimpses (E. Bozhenko, P. Vernyhora, M. Vysotska, D. Makarenko). On December 30, 1942, the Gestapo burned 29 family members of partisans from Novoselytsia, 19 from the village of Zazirka. A total of 74 civilians of the Zazirkiv Village Council were executed by the Nazis for their connections with the partisans. In 1973, a reinforced concrete cemented rectangular obelisk was erected in honor of the active participants of the partisan movement during the Second World War. A memorial plaque with an inscription is fixed on its front side.
