Here, on February 28, 1942, a battle between S. Kovpak's partisan unit and the 105th Hungarian Rifle Division of the Hungarian occupation army took place. In the battle, the partisans destroyed about 600 enemy soldiers and officers. 11 partisans died in the battle, 12 were wounded, including the commissar of the union S. Rudnev. In 1971, a reinforced concrete stele with a memorial inscription on its front side was installed at the site of the battle.
