Kozhedub Ivan Mykytovych [8.06.1920, p. Obrazhiivka Shostkinsky district - 1991, Moscow, (Russian Federation)] - Soviet fighter pilot, air marshal, three times Hero of the Soviet Union (02.04.1944, 08.19.1944, 08.18.1945). Marshal of Aviation, Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 2 - 5 convocations, awarded with 2 Orders of Lenin, 7 Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Order of the Patriotic War 1 st., 2 Orders of the Red Star, the Order "For Service to the Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" 3 st., medals, as well as foreign orders and medals. The bronze bust of the Hero on a complex rectangular marble pedestal is mounted on a two-step stylobate. There is an annotation inscription in the upper part of the pedestal.
