A Ukrainian artist of the naive art genre, master of folk decorative painting, Kateryna Bilokur, not only learned to draw, but also learned to read on her own. Despite the misunderstanding of relatives and obstacles to be creative, she managed to create her own unique style, a huge number of colorful life-affirming paintings dominated by flowers. She liked to draw the famous Bogdaniv apples, which were also popular abroad in those days.
