The monument to the victims of the Chornobyl tragedy was erected on April 26, 1994, at the initiative of the Union of Disabled People of Chornobyl of the Leningrad (Sviatoshynskyi) District, at the expense of the district state administration, donations from the district residents, and members of the Union of Disabled People of Chornobyl. The height of the wall is 0.50-1 m, and in its center there is a bronze plaque with an engraved dedication text against the background of a relief image of a radiation hazard sign. The sculptural composition, made of copper, is formed by the symbols of the "peaceful atom" and the crane key. The four ellipsoids of electronic orbits, which are devoid of organized movement around a common stable center, together seem to form a deadly embrace in which birds die.
