The site of hostilities and mass deaths in the area of Instytutska Street in Kyiv is associated with the mass protests that took place in the capital in late 2013 and early 2014. It is a section of the urban landscape with identified places of death of resistance participants, as well as immovable objects that bear traces of sniper shots: lamp posts pierced by bullets, landscaping elements (stairs, a stone wall with an advertisement for the Arkada bank, a flower bed), building walls, etc. The monument also includes the construction of the first memorial monument in honor of the Heavenly Hundred, which is located in the park near the site of the most massive deaths.
