On September 7, 1941, German-Nazi invaders occupied Glukhiv. They established a regime of bloody terror in the city. From September 1941 to September 1943, more than 800 civilians were shot by the Nazis in the Borok tract, who were buried at the site of the shooting in mass graves. The names of all the dead are known. In 1974, a reinforced concrete stele depicting the execution of four men and a girl hugging her mother was installed on the central mass grave. On October 1, 1994, the remains of prisoners of war were reburied in the Borok tract at the memorial complex. At the burial site, a triangular pyramid with a pointed top was installed on a reinforced concrete base. A cross made of metal pipes is mounted in the pyramid. In May 1995, a memorial sign in the form of a stone block with a six-pointed star on the top was erected near the mass grave of the victims of Nazism in memory of the Jewish citizens of Glukhovo, who died and were tortured during the Second World War. In 2002, a stone block with a five-pointed star was installed on a concrete base in honor of fallen soldiers and civilians.
