Throughout 1943, the Poltava region was one of the hottest spots not only in terms of the scale of hot battles on the territory of the former USSR, but also in the theaters of war throughout World War II. The Poltava region went down in history as one of the few regions of Ukraine and the USSR that Soviet troops sought to liberate three times in 1943: in February, August, and September. The monument of history
