Under the bas-relief, a facsimile of the writer is engraved on the granite: "Вл. Короленко". In front of the tombstone, a granite slab with the inscription: «В.Г. Короленко 1853-1921, Е.С. Короленко 1855-1940».

In 1962, a tombstone made of a granite monolith 2.15 m high was installed on the grave. It is a block of red granite, on the front surface of which a bas-relief portrait of the writer is placed in a bronze oval. A sculptor N.V. Krandievska portrayed the writer at his desk. Until 1962, there was a pyramidal granite obelisk 1.8 m high with the inscription: "Korolenko Volodymyr Galaktionovych 1853-1921" on the grave of V.G. Korolenko.
