The monument was established in honor of Hero of the Soviet Union Hryhorii Kahamlyk in his native village. Kahamlyk Hryhorii Serhiiovych (1923-1943) was a participant of the Second World War, sergeant, commander of the company of anti-tank rifles of the 47th Infantry Regiment of the 15th Infantry Division of the 13th Army of the Central Front, Hero of the Soviet Union. The monument is a monument of monumental art.
