Reinforced concrete bust on a brick pedestal. Grigory Makarovich Shevchenko (March 4, 1922, Berestivka village - July 15, 1944, Rivne) - Hero of the Soviet Union (October 16, 1943). Battalion commander of the 25th Guards Rifle Regiment (6th Infantry Division, 13th Army, Central Front) Captain G. Shevchenko and his battalion on the night of September 23, 1943 were the first in the regiment to cross the Dnipro in the area of the village of Teremtsi (Chornobyl district, Kyiv region), captured and held a bridgehead, which ensured the crossing of the regiment. Awarded the Order of Lenin, the Red Banner, the Red Star, medals.
