Borysenko Vasyl Pavlovych was born in 1923 in the village of Borysy, Hlobyn district, into a peasant family. He fought on many fronts of the Great Patriotic War and made his way to Budapest. In the battles for the Hungarian capital on January 10, 1945, he was mortally wounded. He was awarded the medal "For Courage".
