Maria Kharitonivna Savchenko is an innovator of collective farm production, head of the dairy farm of the collective farm named after Lenin in the Lebedyn district of the Sumy region. Twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1948, 1958). Honored Worker of Agriculture of the USSR (1973). Deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR of the 2nd-10th convocations. Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1954-1981.
