Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on awarding the Hero of the Soviet Union of the Guard Lieutenant General Koshovoy Pyotr Kyrylovych with the second "Gold Star" medal for the exemplary performance of combat tasks of the command on the front of the fight against the German invaders, which gives the right to receive the title of Hero of the Soviet Union awarding the Hero of the Soviet Union of the Guard of lieutenant-general Pyotr Kyrylovych Koshovoy with the second "Gold Star" medal, to build a bronze bust and install it on a pedestal in the recipient's homeland.

Bust of Soviet general P.K. Koshovoy is installed on a stone monument and is located on the square of the same name in Alexandria. Koshovyi was a hero of two wars: the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War. He received awards for the liberation of Crimea in 1944 and for the storming of Königsberg in 1945.
