A monument of history Order dated 04/18/2017 No. 323 982 The squadron destroyer of the imperial fleet "Lieutenant Zatsareniy" sank off Zmiyny on June 17, 1917. The destroyer hit a mine 2.5 miles southeast of the island. During the explosion, 37 crew members and passengers died, including the ship's commander. The first dives of the "Navarex" club on the ship "Lieutenant Zatsareniy", which sank, date back to August 2002. Now it is a monument of the underwater museum of Zmiiniy Island
