Monument of monumental art Order dated 03.02.10 No. 58/0/16-10 (16.06.11 No. 453/0/16-11), 915-Od The monument was built in memory of the events of 1905 and the uprising on the battleship "Potemkin", immortalized in the famous film by Sergei Eisenstein. The monument reproduces the scene of the shooting of the rebellious sailors, who throw off the tarpaulin. The monument to the "Potemkin sailors" was erected in 1965, on the site where the monument to Catherine II stood before the revolution, on Catherine Square. The monument to the descendants is now located on the customs square, next to the entrance to the Odesa port and the Odesa seaport museum. The monument was moved in 2007.
