A monument to the Crimean (Eastern) War of 1854–1855, namely the bombing of Odessa, on Primorsky Boulevard in the city of Odessa.
In 1903, on the eve of the fiftieth anniversary of the bombing of Odessa, the British cannon was found and they intended to turn it into a military-historical, as they said then, monument. For this purpose, a commission was created, which, as reported in the Odesa News newspaper,
"I took measures to ensure that all the parts of the naval bombardment gun, removed from the British warship "Tiger", and the gun carriage, which were destroyed by time and now restored, fully corresponded to the era." At the same time, divers again, now half a century later, visited the place of the frigate's death and picked up several cores of the appropriate caliber of the gun.
After the restoration, the cannon was moved to Mykolaivsky Boulevard, where in September 1904 it was placed on a pedestal, turning it from a participant into a witness of many events.
