Vasyl Pylypovich Margelov was a Soviet military commander, army general, commander of the Airborne Forces of the Soviet Union, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, candidate of military sciences. Petro Ruban was the commander of the 200th separate assault aviation squadron as part of the 40th Army of the Red Banner Turkestan Military District. He died on January 16, 1984 in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, Volodymyr Kucherenko was the commander of the helicopter squadron of the helicopter regiment as part of the 40th Army of the Red Banner Turkestan Military District.
