At this place, on March 24, 1942, a battle took place between the Lebedyn partisan unit No. 1 under the command of K. Karpov and the German punitive unit. Guerrillas in the number of 18 people engaged in an unequal battle with the German punishers who were traveling to the village. Mykhailivka for robbing the population and fighting partisans. In this battle, which lasted from 9 o'clock in the morning to 5 o'clock in the evening, the partisans destroyed 27 German soldiers and executed the traitor P. Khoruzhenko. In the same battle, the deputy commander of the partisan unit P. Romanov was mortally wounded. In 1968, an obelisk made of crushed stone was installed at the site of the battle, on the front part of which there is a cast-iron board with an inscription.
