A monument of history Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine dated December 30, 2008 No. 1642/0/16-08 In 1559-1954, in the town of Chigyryn, near Zamkova Gora, a team of builders of the district inter-collegiate farm erected a commemorative sign made by Kyiv art restoration workshops. The monument has the appearance of an obelisk in the form of a four-sided pyramid. On the front side of the obelisk is the coat of arms of the Ukrainian SSR, below a plaque on which is engraved: "The great Ukrainian democratic revolutionary Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko was in the city of Chhyryn in 1843 and 1845."
