The monument of history. On 25 January 1949, in accordance with the Regulations on the title of Hero of the Soviet Union of 29 July 1936, a bronze bust was established in the village of Nehayky, in the homeland of Ivan Nikiforovych Stepanenko. The bronze bust was established in honour of Ivan Nikiforovych Stepanenko (13 April 1920, Nehayky - 31 May 2007, Cherkasy) - Soviet military pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, who was deputy commander of the 4th Fighter Aviation Regiment during the German-Soviet War.
