The unit of partisans under the command of M. Naumov was formed by order of the Ukrainian headquarters of the partisan movement for a raid on the territory of the Sumy region. with the next exit to the right bank of the Dnieper. The detachment consisted of 708 people. On February 12, 1943, the detachment was located in the village of Great Starling. During their two-day stay here, 55 policemen and Cossacks, who evacuated to the west and passed through the village, were disarmed and shot. On February 13, 1943, reconnaissance established that 8 km west of the village of Divination is concentrated around 5,000 prisoners of war of the Red Army. Partisans freed more than 2,000 people who were brought to the village. Some of them joined the squad. On the night of February 15, 1943, the partisan unit left the village and moved along the route Veliky Vystropop, Sytniki, Garbuzivka, Panchenki, Buimer. In 1971, a concrete obelisk was installed at the location of the partisan detachment, on the front part of which there is a cast-iron board with a memorial inscription.
