In Kaniv, above the Dnipro, not far from the Princely Mountain, there is a modest grave of academician Nikolai Fedotovich Bilyashevsky - a Ukrainian archaeologist, ethnographer, art critic, public figure, member of the Kyiv Society of Antiquities and Arts. Back in 1919, Belyashevsky began a petition to transfer his house near Knyazhna Gora to workers in science and art. Now it houses the nature museum of the Kanivsky Nature Reserve. Two memorial rooms of the museum are dedicated to M. Belyashevsky. On the wall of the house there is a memorial plaque with a bust of a scientist.
In 1968, one of the streets of Kyiv was named after M. Belyashevsky, and in 1987 a sculptural monument was erected to the scientist in front of the house of the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
