Four unknown Soviet soldiers from the special purpose unit, created from cadets of the Sumy and Kharkiv Artillery Schools under the command of Major General O. Chesnov, were buried. Died in defensive battles for the village between September 8 and 10, 1941. In 1957, a reinforced concrete sculpture of the warrior was installed on the mass grave. At the foot of the monument there is a board with a memorial inscription.
