Partisans from S. Kovpak's partisan unit were buried. Died in the battle with the Nazis on February 28, 1942. Soldiers who died in the battles for the liberation of the village from the Nazi invaders on September 2, 1943 and eleven Soviet soldiers who died of wounds in the hospital stationed here in August 1943 are buried here. The names of two soldiers are known. In 1958, the remains of the dead from different places were transferred to a mass grave, on which in the same year a reinforced concrete sculpture of a warrior with a memorial inscription on a brick pedestal was installed.
