Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840 - 93) is an outstanding Russian composer. His musical heritage is one of the peaks of world art. In 1864, he visited Prince Golitsyn in Trostyanka. Here, while still a student at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, he wrote his own the first symphonic piece - the overture to M. Ostrovsky's drama "The Thunderstorm". The bronze figure of the composer is placed on a cubic reinforced concrete pedestal on a stepped rectangular pedestal lined with marble slabs, the upper left corner of which is cut off horizontally by ledges. To the right of the monument there is a cast-iron memorial plaque on which the name of the composer is engraved and dedication.
