Grynko Ivan Kuzmych - Major General, member of the Military Council of the 21st Army of the South-Western Front, brigade commissar. In September 1941, together with a group of soldiers of the 21st Army, breaking through the encirclement, entered into battle with the German-Nazi invaders, was mortally wounded and died. Residents of the village Dubovichi buried the soldier at the place of his death. In 1979, fellow soldiers of I. Hrynko installed a metal obelisk in the shape of an unfurled flag on the grave of the deceased with a bas-relief image of the Order of the Patriotic War and an inscription on its front side.
