The bronze figure of Mykhajlo Hrushevsky, seated on a bench, is mounted on a round pedestal of gray granite, which passes into a granite stepped stylobate. The pedestal bears the scientist's signature in bronze letters, stylized as a facsimile. The style of the sculpture is close to the realistic sculpture of the second half of the nineteenth century, which is characterized by the genre interpretation of the image of a person in the everyday context of life. Hrushevsky is depicted in a state of inner retreat - in the last years of his life, the years of persecution that ended in his tragic death. The monument is characterized by a carefully crafted portrait description that conveys all the subtleties of iconographic features; the scientist's inner state is emphasized by graceful hands freely resting on an umbrella.
