160 soldiers who died on February 21 and August 8-19, 1943 during the liberation of the city from fascist invaders and died of wounds in hospitals located here. The city was liberated on August 19, 1943. In 1965, the remains of soldiers from different places were transferred to a mass grave, on which a concrete sculpture of a woman on a pedestal was installed in the same year.
