He was born in the village of Vepryk in the Poltava region. He became known primarily for his tanks - T-34-85, KV and IS, which were a real breakthrough in tank construction in technical terms. In 1938, Mykola Leonidovych proposed a tank design that would later go down in history as the KV. The tank had unprecedented armor, which the vast majority of anti-tank weapons could not penetrate at the time. Subsequently, with Dukhov's help, another tank was developed, the KV-2, designed to storm the lines of pillboxes and pillboxes. After the war, the famous Poltava resident was engaged in the development of atomic and hydrogen bombs, and taught at institutes in Leningrad and Chelyabinsk. The monument of monumental art.
