64 soldiers who died on August 8, 1943 in the battles for the liberation of the villages of Yasenok and Gaponivka from the German-Nazi invaders and died of wounds are buried here. The names of all the dead are known. The village of Yasenok was liberated from the German-Nazi invaders on August 8, 1943. In 1959, the remains of the dead from various places were transferred to a mass grave, on which a reinforced concrete sculptural group of a soldier and a girl was installed in the same year. On the front
on the side of the brick pedestal there is a plaque with an inscription and the names of the dead.
