Buried soldiers who died during the liberation of the village from German-Nazi invaders from August 7 to 9, 1943 and died of wounds in the hospital. The village was liberated on August 9, 1943. The names of 41 soldiers are known. In 1957, the remains of the dead from different places were transferred to a mass grave at the cemetery. In 1962, the remains were reburied in the administrative building of the sugar factory. In the same year, a reinforced concrete sculpture of a warrior on a brick pedestal was installed on the grave. In 1967, memorial signs were erected on both sides of the mass grave in honor of the workers of the Hryaznyansk sugar factory who died on the fronts of the Second World War. Reconstruction was carried out in 1983. Concrete slabs with inscriptions and names of 30 sugar factory workers who died on the fronts of the Second World War have been installed near the monument on sloping bases.
