31 Soviet soldiers who died in defensive battles for the village on October 17, 1941, who died during the liberation of the village from the German-Nazi invaders on February 23, 1943 and soldiers who died of wounds are buried; 2 partisans of M. Naumov's unit. The names of 26 soldiers and 2 partisans are known. In 1953, the remains of the dead from different places were transferred to a mass grave, on which in the same year a reinforced concrete sculpture of a warrior with a memorial inscription on a brick pedestal was installed. There is a marble slab on the grave with an inscription and the names of the dead. In 1967, a concrete stele with an inscription and the names of 228 compatriot soldiers who died during the Second World War was installed to the right of the mass grave. Among the fallen soldiers-compatriots is Trofimov Volodymyr Vasyliovych - Hero of the Soviet Union. He showed courage and heroism in the battle for the village. Batovo, Nevel district, Pskov region. (Russian Federation). He died in the same battle.
