100 Soviet soldiers who died during the defensive battles for the village in October 1941 and its liberation from the German-Nazi invaders in August 1943 were buried. The village was liberated on 14
August 1943. The names of all the dead are known. A brick cemented obelisk was installed on the grave. In 1970, the remains of fallen soldiers were moved from different places to the mass grave. In the same year, the obelisk was replaced by a concrete sculpture of a warrior with a memorial inscription on a brick pedestal and a cast iron tombstone. In 1970, on both sides of the grave at an angle, cemented slabs were installed, on which 12 concrete memorial slabs with the names of 228 compatriot soldiers who died during the Second World War were installed.
