408 soldiers of the 600th, 640th, 15th, 318th, 264th rifle regiments, 359th and 379th
artillery regiments, the 39th tank regiment, and the 231st separate fighter anti-tank division, who were killed in action at the final stage of the Battle of Kursk in August 1943,
which resulted in the liberation of many settlements of the Sumy region, including the village of Vysoke (August 11, 1943) as well as soldiers who died of wounds between August 12 and 25, 1943, in the hospital were buried here.
The names of all the dead soldiers are known.
In 1956, the remains of the dead were transferred from different places to a mass grave, where a concrete sculpture of the

Twenty-two gray granite plaques with the names of 368 soldiers-liberators and 126 fallen soldiers from the countryside. The historical monument is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine under local significance (protection no. 4073-CM). Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine dated 10.02.2020 No. 630.
