30 Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of the village from German-Nazi invaders on February 23, 1943, August 20, 1943 and died of wounds between August 26 and September 12, 1943 in the hospitals stationed here are buried here. The names of all the dead are known. Among the buried - Oleksiy Markelovich Sergeev, Hero of the Soviet Union (January 10, 1944, posthumously). Sergeant O. Sergeev, commander of the machine gun company, during the battle on March 10, 1943 in the area of the village of Byshkin covered the exit of the battalion from the encirclement. He repelled three enemy counterattacks with machine gun fire. Died in this battle. Awarded the Order of Lenin, a medal. In 1954, the remains of the dead from different places were transferred to a mass grave, on which in the same year a concrete sculpture of a warrior with a memorial inscription on a brick pedestal and a cast-iron gravestone was installed. In 1979, to the right of the sculpture, on a concrete base, five cast-iron slabs with the names of 267 soldiers born in the village were installed. Byshkin, Ovdyanske, Revky, Shchetyny, which died during the Second World War.
