Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko (1814 - 61) - poet and novelist, artist, thinker. The life and activity of the Great Kobzar is important for every corner of Ukraine, therefore the location of the monument has great historical and cultural significance precisely in this territorial context and is a significant spiritual dominant. The half-figure of the poet is placed on a cubic brick plinth. The image of the poet is based on the widespread tendency to depict him in mature age, with a frown with a look directed from top to bottom, as if from the height of the pulpit. These details, as well as the general simplicity of the compositional solution, contribute to the impression of a casual communication between the public tribune and an imaginary audience. The monument forms a mono-exposition on a small area in front of the club.
