42 Soviet soldiers who died on September 23, 1941 during the defensive battles for the village and in the battles for its liberation on September 12, 1943 and died of wounds are buried here. The names of all the dead are known. In 1955, the remains of the dead from different places were transferred to a mass grave, on which a reinforced concrete sculpture of a warrior was installed in the same year. A memorial was built in 1979. A plaque with a memorial inscription and the names of the fallen soldiers is installed on the grave. A reinforced concrete sculptural composition was built in the center of the square: the figure of a warrior and a woman with a child in her arms on a brick pedestal. Behind the sculptural group, 26 concrete bases have been installed, on which are fixed memorial boards with the names of 329 compatriot soldiers who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.
