The first monument in Ukraine to the last Kosh ataman of Zaporozhye Sich, Peter Kalnyshevskyi, was erected in the village of Pustovoitovka, where he was born in 1691.Peter Kalnyshevskyi (born in 1691 in the village of Petrykivka, in the Sumy region - died on November 12, 1803 in Solovki) - the last basket chieftain of Zaporizhzhya Sich, given by the Russian empress Catherine II, first to the Russian generals for the victory in the Russo-Turkish war and then a long-term prisoner of the darkest prison in the Russian Empire, when Kalnyshevsky spoke out against the defeat of the Zaporizhzhya Sich, for which he was arrested and spent 26 years in a Russian prison (including 17 years in the Solovetsky Monastery), released at the age of 110 under amnesty. Then a monk-scheme and, finally, to the holy Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The monument serves as a reminder of the former strength and glory of the Zaporozhye Sich.
