A terrible tragedy for the Shyshaky
district during the occupation was the destruction of the village of
Baranivka village and the shooting of its inhabitants. The reason for this was an attack by a partisan
Tutka's guerrilla unit attacked a staff car and killed several officers who were traveling in it, as well as seized staff documents. A fascist punitive detachment arrested 12 residents of the village of Shyshaky, and the occupiers
demanded that the rest of them hand over the partisans. On November 11, 1941, the Nazis shot the arrested and set fire to the village, declaring it non-existent. Out of 500 yards in
Baranivka, 470 of them burned down. At the same time and for the same reason, the punishers shot or hanged 8 people in Shyshaky
8 people, 6 in Yaresk, and 18 in Mala Buzova. The Nazis burned the village for the second time on September 19, 1943.
during their escape from Ukrainian territory. The historical monument is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine under the category of local significance (protection no. 3060-Pl). Order of the MCMC of 25.02.2020
