48-year-old Kornilich D.D., the commander of the Shyshaky partisan unit, died alone in a straw haystack while hiding from the Nazis. His body was found by villagers in the spring of 1942. In 1973, the monument was erected in honor of the unit commander. The monument of monumental art is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine under the category of local significance (protection no. 3056-Pl). Order of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine dated 25.02.2020 No. 1062
